Master Builder / TIG Welder
Setting/Hours: 100% In-Office | 6:00am - 4:30pm Mon-Thurs
Join trak group in partnering with a growing client in Springdale, Ohio that’s expanding its Manufacturing team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow established quality standards and procedures, ensuring all work aligns with defined processes and expectations
Take ownership of responsibilities by working accurately, checking completed tasks, and understanding individual impact on overall objectives
Read and interpret blueprints to lay out jobs, cut materials, and assemble steel components for construction and fabrication projects
Perform welding and fabrication of pipe and sheet metal, including MIG and TIG welding on mild and stainless steel
Operate a variety of manufacturing and fabrication equipment, including welders, drill presses, grinders, saws, plasma cutters, and other hand tools
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
Support team members as needed to ensure efficient workflow and project completion
Conduct quality checks on work and report any safety or quality concerns to management promptly
Assist with training and onboarding of temporary or new employees when needed
Qualifications:
No formal supervisory responsibilities, with the opportunity to assist in training and supporting new or temporary team members
High school diploma or equivalent required, along with 3–5 years of experience in industrial welding, fabrication, and blueprint reading
Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments regarding job progress and issues
Basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Strong problem-solving abilities to identify workflow challenges and contribute to effective solutions
No specific certifications or licenses required
Role requires physical stamina, including standing for extended periods and performing movements such as kneeling, bending, climbing, and lifting
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. independently and more with assistance or equipment
Work takes place in a traditional shop environment with varying temperatures, loud noise levels, and potential exposure to fumes or odors
Must follow all safety requirements, including the use of appropriate protective equipment
Flexibility to work overtime as needed, with schedules potentially reaching 50–60 hours per week
