SPOT WELDER

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Reports to: Aluminum and Spot Weld Supervisor

Position Overview:

The Spot Welder is responsible for welding lighting products. They must operate with strong attention to detail and work with a sense of urgency to meet all deadlines without comprising quality of work.

Duties + Responsibilities

• Report to supervisor daily regarding order count and specificity and on any machinery in need of maintenance or repair
• Weld lighting products as determined and trained by supervisor
• Ensure all lighting products are completed with a strong attention to detail and according to customer specifications and deadlines
• Inspect all material and set aside extrusion damaged beyond tolerance
• Maintain an overall understanding of the processes involved with lighting product manufacturing
• Uphold strong quality control standards and comply with all company safety protocols including wearing appropriate safety gear
• Ensure that part inventory levels satisfy order needs
• Inspect tips of spot weld machine for any potential burn spots
• Adjust machine output temperature as needed

Skills + Specifications

• Ability to use and read a tape measurer
• Comfortability using hand tools including but not limited to power drills, grinders, and sanders
• Ability to handle a large variety of tasks with varying levels of complexity without compromising quality of work, attention to detail or deadline adherence
• Possess agility and adaptability to work collaboratively and cross departmentally
• Maintain a positive attitude and teamwork mentality
• Possess strong communication skills
