SPOT WELDER
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Reports to: Aluminum and Spot Weld Supervisor
Position Overview:
The Spot Welder is responsible for welding lighting products. They must operate with strong attention to detail and work with a sense of urgency to meet all deadlines without comprising quality of work.
Duties + Responsibilities
- Report to supervisor daily regarding order count and specificity and on any machinery in need of maintenance or repair
- Weld lighting products as determined and trained by supervisor
- Ensure all lighting products are completed with a strong attention to detail and according to customer specifications and deadlines
- Inspect all material and set aside extrusion damaged beyond tolerance
- Maintain an overall understanding of the processes involved with lighting product manufacturing
- Uphold strong quality control standards and comply with all company safety protocols including wearing appropriate safety gear
- Ensure that part inventory levels satisfy order needs
- Inspect tips of spot weld machine for any potential burn spots
- Adjust machine output temperature as needed
Skills + Specifications
- Ability to use and read a tape measurer
- Comfortability using hand tools including but not limited to power drills, grinders, and sanders
- Ability to handle a large variety of tasks with varying levels of complexity without compromising quality of work, attention to detail or deadline adherence
- Possess agility and adaptability to work collaboratively and cross departmentally
- Maintain a positive attitude and teamwork mentality
- Possess strong communication skills
