Position Summary

The Fabricator is responsible for performing hands-on fabrication work, including cutting, bending, auto work, tabletop bent rebar and preparing materials for customer orders. This position supports the accurate and timely production of fabricated products in alignment with company standards for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform fabrication of materials according to blueprints, shop drawings, and supervisor instructions.
• Use fabrication equipment and tools safely and effectively.
• Assist with material take-offs, measuring, and cutting.
• Maintain inventory organization in the shop and notify supervisor of material shortages.
• Follow scheduled work orders to meet customer timelines.
• Assist with preventative maintenance on shop equipment and tools.
• Adhere to OSHA and company safety policies; maintain clean and organized work area.
• Inspect fabricated items for quality and accuracy.
• Support colleagues in completing orders as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of fabrication experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings (training provided if needed).
• Basic knowledge of fabrication tools, equipment, and safe operating procedures.
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs on a regular basis.
• Strong attention to detail, safety, and teamwork.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Working Conditions

• Constant (75–100%): Shop environment; exposure to fabrication equipment, noise, dust; lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Frequent (50–75%): Standing, bending, kneeling, and repetitive use of tools.
• Occasional (25–50%): Outdoor work and assisting with loading/unloading.
• Rare (<25%): Non-CDL driving for deliveries.
