Job Responsibilities:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Some of the physical demands for this position include the ability to lift 40 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods of time, and occasional bending and stooping.
EQUIPMENT / TOOLS USED:
Some of the equipment and tools used are: Mig, Tig and Arc welding machines, Hand tools, Oxy/Acy cutting torch, Air Grinders
KNOWLEDGE
EDUCATION:
· High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year Associates Degree from accredited technical college is preferred, or equivalent experience
· One to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
TECHNICAL TRAINING: Mig/ Tig / Arc Welding
OTHER: Welding courses, Computer skills; Basic Microsoft Word and Excel
WORK EXPERIENCE
WHAT TYPES? Strong technical background; previous experience with welding/fabricating
HOW MUCH? Minimum 3 years in heavy industrial environment
WHAT ADDITIONAL SKILLS OR ABILITIES WOULD BE HELPFUL FOR THE JOB?
-Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Small machining skills
WHAT AREAS OF TRAINING ARE REQUIRED?
New Hire Orientation, OSHA Required Training, Product and Process Overview, Understanding the Charter, Machine-specific training, 5S and TPM.

Performance Assessment conducted by Supervisor and/or Department Manager
HOW IS THE POSITION RELEVANT TO ACHIEVING QUALITY OBJECTIVES?
The Welder/Fabricator will be responsible to assist and help repair production dies, fabricating tools, jigs and fixtures for the production areas to meet our customer production requirements.
